Rainscreen Cladding

Rainscreen Cladding

Rainscreen cladding or Rainscreen Facades is the attachment of an outer face of rear-ventilated cladding to a new or existing building.

The rainscreen cladding system is a form of double-wall type construction that uses an outer facing ‘cladding’ screens weather and rain from the building and an inner layer that provides thermal insulation, prevents excessive air leakage and carries wind loading. The external face of the rainscreen system breathes like a skin while the inner layer reduces energy losses. For more information please visit Proteus, a trusted supplier to Longworth.
