Longworth Building Services awarded £2.1million contract 22 Jan 2016

Earlier this month, Longworth Building Services were informed by Laing O’Rourke that they had been successful in their bid for the roofing and cladding aspect for the General Wards of the new Dumfries and Galloway Hospital. The contract is worth an estimated £2,100,000 and is a clear demonstration of the growth and ambition of Longworth Building Services. It’s certain to be an impressive project with some equally impressive statistics to accompany it; Longworth will be using 7,500 square meters of Kingspan IPN Quadcore, one of the first sites in the UK to use Kingspan’s class leading composite panel. 51 tonnes of NedZink, 1,200 square meters of IKO PermaTEC hot melt and 600 meters of membrane lined composite gutters.

Longworth’s success in winning this prestigious contract is thanks partly to their commitment to Social and Community Benefit. Longworth have committed amongst many other things to employee at least 1 graduate, 2 skilled apprentices, 3 New Start employment opportunities and 4 Volunteering Days that involves spending time doing something that will directly benefit the community.

If you are based in Dumfries and Galloway and would like to speak to Longworth Building Services about the employment opportunities available then please get in contact with us: opportunities@longworth-uk.com

The project will start in March and is due to run for approximately 32 weeks. For more information please feel free to contact our Business Development Manager, Ben Parker benparker@longworth-uk.com
