Role and Responsibilities

Since becoming Managing Director in 2001, Paul Smith has grown the company from 14 employees to approximately 120. As well as heading the board of Directors, he is personally responsible for overseeing pre- and post-construction policy and strategy, all statutory and obligatory responsibilities of the company and assessing and managing all facets of the business.

Professional Experience

Paul started his career in commercial roofing in 1990 and now holds the prestigious title of Fellow of The Institute of Roofing. He was the Chairman Elect of the Federation of Traditional Metal Roofing Contractors (FTMRC) a distinguished position to have held in this industry. Longworth, under his stewardship, has been a finalist in the National Roofing Awards since 2010, securing the top National Roofing Award in 2011 and the award for Exceptional Contribution to Training in 2013 and a host of other impressive awards since.
