A record year for Longworth Building 03 Jun 2016

Hard work is certainly paying off for Longworth Building Services at the moment with a record number of contracts landing in the last couple of months.

It doesn’t look like stopping any time soon either! We’re at advanced stages on a number of other projects that will see us hit record turnover for the next year to come.

A more focused approach to bidding for the right projects and building our relationships with key suppliers and clients has proven to be an effective method for winning work and sustainable growth. Here are a few of the projects that we have won recently and we’re incredibly excited to get started!

We’ve secured a new project at Swinton Park Hotel in Masham to provide over 1000m2 of VM zinc roofing and single ply membrane roofing to various buildings within the grounds. We’ll be starting with the roof to the Brasserie dining area at the end of May, before moving onto the new leisure and spa facilities.

Another one of our new projects secured will be to install Arubis Weathered Brass roofing and Rimex Gold cladding to the new Cafe Nero in Hull. The kiosk will be situated right outside the front entrance of St Stephen’s Shopping Centre, and will surely be a contender for next years awards once its completed. Work starts for us in August 2016!

We’ve secured a new contract to provide the roof and wall coverings at Vita Student Accommodation in York. The student scheme will see the transformation of the entire site, which includes Grade II listed Victorian era chapels and convent buildings, and gardens and orchards in the 6.3 acre site.

Our £1.4m package will be to provide over 6,000m2 of stainless steel roofing, 1,000m2 of single ply membrane roofing and 72,000m of Norclad Microshades timber weatherboarding. Start on site is July 2016!

After nine months of costing and design advice, working closely with the architect and Wates Construction, we are delighted to announce that we have secured the rainscreen cladding package at Leftbank in Birmingham.

We will be starting on first 22 storey apartment tower in January 2017, with the second tower to follow 6 months later. The cladding will involve a face fix aluminium composite panel in 3 different colours and will be a landmark building in Birmingham City Centre. We can’t wait to get started!

We are delighted to announce that we have secured the roofing and cladding package at the new Liverpool Life Sciences Accelerator Building.

Situated on Daulby Street within the grounds of the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, the work for us will involve Marley Eternit Rainscreen, Euroclad ACM rainscreen, Sika Trocal single ply membrane roofing, with an overall package value of approximately £1.2 million.

As well as hosting other facilities, two of the floors will be devoted to LSTM’s Resistance mitigation portfolio, which is playing a leading role in the global fight against the growing threat of antibiotic resistance.

We are very pleased to have got this one over the line and can’t wait to get started in the next couple of months!

Finally, St. Luke’s School in Salford. We will be installing 800m2 of Siberian Larch cladding and 250m2 of render. Starts on site in July 2016!
