Photo of the Month WINNER 04 Oct 2016

Here at Longworth we encourage our employees to take pride in their work and be confident about sharing it. Last month we set up a competition for a Photograph of the Month open to all employees working or visiting our sites and we had some terrific entries.

This months winner goes to Dave Robson who is one of our site supervisors and very talented traditional metal craftsman. Dave’s photograph is of Holdcroft Extra Care Facility in Stoke. A 75 self contained room facility with 9000m2 of roof covered in VM AnthraZinc Plus. One of the largest Zinc projects in the UK of the last couple of years. Dave’s photo really shows the extent of the project. We will be producing a case study of this impressive project in the near future so check back soon and watch out for our update. Well done Dave!

Shaun McGough, one of our site supervisors and specialist cladder, sent us these two images. The first is of his incredible resourcefulness to get the job done by negotiating the lift of some materials to the roof from a telehandler working on another area of the build. The second one is of his little girl with the caption ‘Make sure my Dad comes home safe’ as a stark reminder of the many risks present on a construction site and to always have Health & Safety in the forefront of our minds every day.

We had some fantastic photographs submitted by Andy Desmond of some great jobs in Thelwall, Surrey and Neston.

Another of our supervisors Joey Challinor sent us a strong contender for photo of the month for a project that he has worked on in Duke Street, Liverpool. This project for Wates Construction Limited and used Tecu Bronze copper which finished earlier this year in July. This was a fantastic local project for Longworth and we will be running a case study on this project as well.
